What Is Massage Therapy?

Massage Therapy is a manual therapy that is used to identify and relieve pain and discomfort. Deep-tissue massage is “hands-on” manipulation of muscle, tissue, tendons, and ligaments. Massage therapy has been known to:

  1. Reduce pain
  2. Decrease Inflammation
  3. Improve Circulation
  4. Increase Mobility
  5. Lower Stress

Furthermore, if you no longer want to live with constant pain, inflammation, poor blood flow, restricted mobility, and stress – massage therapy may be what you need to help you feel better.

Who It Helps and What to Expect

Massage therapy has something to offer everyone. Regardless of your needs or level of discomfort, Integrative Health & Rehabilitation can confidently provide you with a massage that is right for you. Our skilled massage therapists are trained in many different massage techniques to ensure the results you are looking for. Massage therapy is also regularly combined with other therapies to provide lasting relief.

When you come in for your appointment, you will first complete a brief intake form to help us determine the best way to treat your complaint. You will then meet with our massage therapist to discuss your current condition and health goals. Your visit will conclude with your individualized massage.

Furthermore, you can choose the length of your massage therapy appointment. We offer sessions lasting from 30 minutes to two hours in duration. While shorter massages tend to be more for relaxation purposes, longer massages help to address more complicated issues such as injuries resulting from auto accidents.
